Aalborg Symphony Orchestra

The Aalborg Symphony Orchestra is a Danish symphony orchestra which was founded in 1943 and currently consists of 65 musicians.



The Aalborg Symphony Orchestra is the regional orchestra of Jutland and often collaborates with the Danish National Opera and the Royal Theatre while on tour.

Each season, the orchestra performs a series of symphony concerts which are attended by many renowned international soloists and conductors. The orchestra has also recorded several albums, including works by Carl Nielsen and Richard Wagner.

Matthias Aeschbacher currently works as the orchestra's chief conductor and Poul Elming works as the orchestra's music director.
