Choeur L’Echelle

Choeur L'Echelle is a French Canadian choir which is over forty years old and comprises of an equal number of male and female voices which now total over a hundred. Its repertoire contains the work of such great composers as Haydn, Beethoven and Handel.



Founded in 1964 in Quebec, Canada the Choeur L'Echelle performs locally at least twice per year, for the benefit of its community. As well as performing well known compositions by such greats as Beethoven, Mozart and Haydn, the choir has been directly involved in the composition of a number of new Canadian works by Roger Matton based on a text by Bishop Felix-Antoine Savard.

The choir performs extensively in churches during the holiday season which consistently win excellent reviews from press and public alike.
