Go Guitars

Go Guitars

Go Guitars are a five piece German guitar ensemble who specialise in new, experimental and improvised music.

Go Guitars are a German electric guitar ensemble who specialise in new, experimental and improvised music and are so named after 'go', the Japanese word for the number 'five'. They were originally founded in 1997 by New York composer Lois V Vierk who sought a band to perform her 1981 composition 'Go Guitars'.

Go Guitars are an excellent example of the growing interest in experimental and improvised music with their concert series 'Processing' (2008) being a testament to this. 'Processing' includes collaboration with such musicians as Richard Barrett, Elliot Shard and eRikm.
