Howard Shelley is an award winning British conductor and pianist who debued as a conducor in 1985 and as a pianist at the young age of 10 on television where he gave a recital of Bach and Chopin.

Howard Shelley is both an accomplished pianist and conductor, having toured and recorded the world over in both capacities. His career as a performing pianist began with a particularly successful London Recital and televised Promenade concert with the London Symphony Orchestra. Prior even to this, at age ten he performed Bach and Chopin on television.

As a pianist, he earned an Honorary Fellowship with the Royal College of Music in 1994. Further to this, he has over 75 commercial recordings. He has performed and recorded with renowned orchestras and conductors such as Pierre Boulez, Colin Davis and Gennady Rozhdestvensky. Shelley has also provided music for the soundtracks of several films such as AnnaKarenina (1997) and Testimony (1998).

His dedication and versatility are reflected in the energy and skill heard in his recordings, each of which speak of a lifetime ofpassion for music.
