Nathalie Mees (soprano) studied with Lenie van de Heuvel, Sasja Hunnego and Barbara Pearson at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague from which she graduated in 2005. She attended masterclasses with David Wilson Johnson, Gemma Visser and Jard van Nes and others.
At present Mees is being coached by Jard van Nes. Nathalie has worked with conductors such as Reinbert de Leeuw, Jaap van Zweden, Jurjen Hempel and Peter Dijkstra. In opera she has sung the roles of ‘Dido’ in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and ‘Die Mutter’ in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel. Besides the Sechs Lieder, op.4 by Anna Cramer, her concert repertoire includes Gustav Mahler’s 4th Symphony, concert arias by Mozart and Beethoven, and Verdi’s Requiem.
