A lifelong musician, Olja Kaiser began to study harp while only 5 years old. She completed her studies at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, graduating with distinction before furthering her professional ability by participating in master-classes given by Isabelle Perrin, David Watkins, Susanna Mildonian, Chantal Matheiu and Isabelle Moretti. Olja Kaiser learned to play baroque style harp at Scola Cantorum Basiliensis (Basel).
Olja Kaiser has appeared internationally as a performing harpist since her youth, both as a soloist and in chamber music recitals. She has won prizes at Concorso Internazionale Premio Rovere D'oro in San Bartolomeo al Mare in Imperia (Italy) and the Concert Artists Guild Music Competition in New York. She has also appeared at such festivals as Pacific Muse Festival, Abu Dhabi Classical Music Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival, Moselfestwochen, Mecklenburgischer Musiksommer, Musikwoche Bad Worishoffen and Rheingau Musikfestival. As well as this, she has toured throughout Europe, the USA, Japan, China and Hong Kong and plays regularly as a soloist and with symphony and chamber orchestras.
Olja Kaiser has worked as an assistant to Prof. O. Erdely at Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and has taught at the Provofiev Music School in Moscow as well as at a conversatory in Luxembourg. She has also featured as a jury member for the German competition, 'Jugend Muziziert'.
Olja Kaiser is known, as a result of her enthusiasm and the diversity of her career, as one of the most active and multi-faceted harpists of her generation.
