Born in Portsmouth, Viragi's early years were spent in various places, the result of his father being in the Navy. At the age of 16 he left home for London where he worked on the Stock Exchange for three years. At the same time he was watching every major band that passed through London - courtesy of free tickets to the Royal Albert Hall.
Music has always been a passion. From the age of 7 at junior school, through piano lessons and then the guitar, Viragi has always written and performed. He took up classical guitar and in his early twenties studied with Michael Brancaccio.
In 1989 Viragi took over the studio management of Greenwich's famous Wood Wharf Studio. In the last 10 years he has produced many artists in addition to making his own music. He has worked with Michael Freedland as both the Freeek Brothers and The Chosen Few and is also responsible for much dance music. His track 'Tabula Rasa' is one of the highlights of the first Cafe Del Mar album.
