Why is the album artwork not showing?

Advice for PC users:

If your artwork is not showing we would recommend downloading a free program called MP3 Tag.  Once downloaded, open MP3 Tag and go to ‘file'.  Click ‘add directory' then find and add the directory where you keep your music (eg C: Music).  For each album for which the artwork is not showing follow these steps.

For albums downloaded from linnrecords.com:

Highlight all the tracks from the album (if they do not show together order by ‘path').  Right click on the box on the bottom left that would show the album art (when the album art is missing it will show a disc logo) then click ‘add cover'. This should open a small folder which shows the folder of the album. Click on the album cover and then click the ‘save' icon on the top left.  This will then update all tracks on the album to show the album art.

For albums download from elsewhere:

Highlight all the tracks from the album (if they do not show together order by ‘path').  In the tools bar at the top click ‘tag sources', scroll down to ‘cover art' and then select a website to retrieve the artwork from.  If more than one result is returned you will see a list of search results (you can preview the covers if you are not sure which is correct). Highlight the correct option and click ‘next' then click ‘ok'. Click on the album cover and then click the ‘save' icon on the top left.  This will then update all tracks on the album to show the album art.

Advice for MAC users:

If you use a MAC a program called XLD will allow you to add the metadata to your Linn Records downloads in the same way as MP3 Tag will on a Windows based PC.
