Antonio Lysy wins Latin GRAMMY

10 November 2010

A track performed by cellist Antonio Lysy has won a 2010 Latin GRAMMY Award in the 'Best Classical Contemporary composition' category!

The track, Pampas, taken from his album Antonio Lysy at The Broad: Music from Argentina was written by Lalo Schifrin and is performed by Antonio Lysy and Bryan Pezzone on piano.  Pampas is the last track from the album which champions the rich soul of Argentina.   The rich and romantic sound of the Argentine savanna (or Pampas) is portrayed in the newly commissioned work by Schifrin which has gained Antonio this award.

Congratulations to Antonio and his record label Yarlung Records for their extraordinary achievement in being recognised at this level of music-making.  Linn is extremely proud to be able to bring you this album at Studio Master quality.
