Award nomination for Dunedin Consort's Messiah

The Dunedin Consort has enjoyed a successful year with its highly popular Dublin version of Handel's Messiah winning over music lovers worldwide. Since the album was released in November 2006 Messiah has won a Gramophone Award for "Best Baroque Vocal Album", has had countless reviews and endorsements, including five stars from Allmusic.com and SA-CD.net and four stars from The Times, The Guardian, Classic FM magazine and BBC Music magazine.
One year on, Messiah has been nominated for a prestigious Midem Classical Award in the "Baroque Music" category. This nomination is another exciting 'first' for both Linn Records and the Dunedin Consort neither of whom have received a Midem Award nomination before. The winners will be announced on 30th January 2008 at a special awards ceremony in Cannes.
