A Gypsy Swing Tour De Force!
31 March 2011
London's only Gypsy Swing/Jazz venue presents 'the most revered Gypsy guitarist since Django Reinhardt - on stage with the most lyrical guitarist of his generation' at this tour de force concert. Lollo Meier and Fapy Lafertin will take the stage on Sunday 8th May 2011 and Monday 9th May 2011 at the Le QuecumBar & Brasserie in London. Gypsy cousins Fapy (Belgian) and Lollo (Dutch) are both world class Gypsy guitar masters, composers, arrangers and band leaders. This concert brings these two giants together in a quartet setting with double bassist Henry Schuler and rhythm guitarist Bram van Es.
Lollo is a self-taught, legacy of the old master whose technique and suppleness is both amazing and refreshing.
'Brilliancies came and went so fast that there was hardly time to applaud.' LONDON EVENING STANDARD UK
'So much beauty, so much harmony, so much variation and so much Lollo.' SOUTH HOLLAND NEWSPAPER NL
