Nigel North is interviewed in BBC Music Magazine

Lutenist Nigel North talks to Daniel Jaffé in the May issue of BBC Music Magazine about discovering Dowland's style.  Nigel talks about the characteristics that define a piece of Dowland and the way the nuances of the music can be interpreted on the lute.  Nigel's 2000 Linn Records recording "A Variete of Lute Lessons" is recommended as essential listening.  The album, which includes works by Dowland, Holborne, Morley, Ferrabosco and others, was described thus: "Nigel North's eloquently phrased and coloured playing is beautifully captured by Linn's engineers."
