Artur and Vita dazzle in a live performance

Artur Pizarro and Vita Panomariovaite dazzled audiences in a recent performance at Perth Concert Hall. Launching the final night of Perth's annual Schubertiad, the piano duo opened with the Hungarian Divertissement, this was then followed by the four-handed Fantasy in F minor. As Conrad Wilson observed in a review in The Herald "Pizarro, playing the lower part, underpinned his pupil's gleaming top notes to admiration, and in the bleak trills and dislocated chords of the Fantasy's terse slow movement the music of this disguised sonata was pared to the bone". To close the concert Artur Pizarro performed Schubert's B flat Sonata: "he brought a flowing dreamlike beauty".

Artur Pizarro and Vita Panomariovaite can be heard together on ‘Rimsky-Korsakov - Piano Duos'. Upon release BBC Online commented on the chemistry of the performance "...the two pianists respond with a unity that shimmers...". Click here for more information.
