Carol Kidd Interviewed in Jazz Review

Describing her as "Britain's finest ballads singer", Jazz Review include an in-depth interview with Carol Kidd about her new album Dreamsville in their October - November edition.

The article details her loyal following, from her homeland to the Far East. It also recalls her performance alongside Frank Sinatra. However, the main focus of the piece is on her return to the recording arena and "arguably her best album yet" in "Dreamsville". Carol seemed to revel in her return to the studio saying "I absolutely love live performance, but in the studio you can work at a song, recraft it and get it absolutely right".

Describing her voice as "a miracle", the article goes on to say "Carol Kidd has something of Sinatra's ability to use the microphone as a musical instrument, stepping back to belt out the more deflamatory stuff, moving in close to whisper a ballad line that sounds as if it's happening inside your head."
