Claire Martin and Richard Rodney Bennett Embark on Tour
14 May 2008
The exemplary duo of Claire Martin and Sir Richard Rodney Bennett will take to the road in the coming weeks as they embark on an eight-date UK tour.
They have performed together in a live setting for well over a decade and recorded the critically-acclaimed album When Lights Are Low for Linn Records in 2005.

The record and resultant tour showcased the ability of the pair to uncover and interpret rare gems from the Great American Songbook - Sigman, Gershwin, Berlin and more - as well as more contemporary sources like Elvis Costello.
Upcoming dates see them play everywhere from Suffolk to Perth and it promises to be something special as two artists at the top of their game play an intimate set with Sir Richard on piano. Previous tours have tended to sell out very quickly so check our listings to see where they might appear near you.
As Carol Sloane said in her sleeve notes on the album "Claire Martin and Richard Rodney Bennett sparkle and shine, soothe and swing, all in one glorious package."
