Album Launch - Fiona Mackenzie at BBC Scotland
01 February 2008
Fiona Mackenzie launched her album in style during a live broadcast performance on BBC Radio Scotland show Travelling Folk at Celtic Connections. She produced a stunning performance of material from her debut solo album "Elevate". Playing on a sterling bill that included June Tabor and Cran she performed five songs in front of a full house in the foyer at the shiny new BBC Scotland studio on Pacific Quay in Glasgow.

The album which is due for full release on Monday 18 February can be downloaded now here.
Meanwhile, the influential Radio Scotland presenter Tom Morton was waxing lyrical about the album stating "Isn't that great - excellent and a highly original sound. On Linn Records hence the pristine sound and produced by Calum Malcolm." The track he played was At the Bottom of the Sea - and it sounded just brilliant amongst the classic tracks and singer-songwriter gems Tom is renowned for playing on weekday afternoons.
Early reviews are also promising with descriptions including:
