May's New Studio Master Releases
01 May 2013
This May the Diapason d'Or winning Belcea Quartet releases its first volume of 'The Complete Beethoven String Quartets' in Studio Master. They performed the full Beethoven cycle at the Vienna Konzerthaus in 2012 to critical acclaim.
Universal has released the Rush back catalogue in Studio Master! With fifteen albums to choose from you can immerse yourself in the band and re-discover the prog-rock era. Known for its musicianship, complex compositions, and eclectic lyrical motifs which draw heavily on science fiction, fantasy, and philosophy. Rush's music style has changed over the years, beginning with blues-inspired heavy metal on their first album, then encompassing hard rock, progressive rock, and a period with heavy use of synthesizers.
Another favourite from the Universal faults is the irrepressible Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstron who, on 'Ella & Louis / Ella & Louis Again' go through a spot-on selection of standards and previous hits with grace and panache. The chemistry between them is evident from the moment 'Can't We Be Friends' starts playing and is never once lost through the remainder of the album.
