Racing the hands of old Greenwich time

I traced rainbows in summer lands

And I flag down the taxi with all the strength I got left
The worlds the way it should be
Yeah "k" comes after "j" and twoâ€^TM's before three

The cab drivers talking about his day
Says its unusual ma'am to see traffic this heavy this late

Cab drivers yelling beating his horn
He say's I hate these drivers they never
Admit it when they're wrong

I push at a pull door
My minds gone a little strange

With photographs and memories

But I can't help thinking and dwelling on the past
What if that had have happened and good things were made to last

Lady tried to die young but then she aged
Like the red red wine caressing her lips
Another cigarette and one for the road
Surviving hard and fast and always dancing solo

Lady had a great head for heights
And always stumbled across her own sweet spotlight
Another Polaroid, there's blood on her hands
Her fingers grip the wheel; she's breaking out with the band
