'Being Patient' has offered Maeve the opportunity to explore solo song writing - having written all but two of the tracks herself. Recognised as being an astute lyricist and tunesmith, the Glasgow-based musician has drawn on life experiences and encounters from her musical hiatus.

Maeve's second studio album demonstrates a matured songwriter and passionate observer no more so than the politically tinged 'Hero In The Sky' and heartfelt 'Lamp' which describes the journey of someone who is about to make a life or death decision. Further musical highlights from Maeve's album include the Springsteen influenced 'Soulmate' and orchestral title track 'Being Patient'.
'With "Being Patient" I was keen to return to my folk roots. I wanted to take time to write from the heart. It was important to me that I took the time to observe the world, my peers and my fellow human beings to pen real life stories and write uninhibited by genre or pigeonholes. I wanted to write and released a record that could relate to as many people as possible'. Maeve O'Boyle
