Entitled 'Bella dama', this album features Baroque cantatas by Antonio Vivaldi, Nicola Porpora and Alessandro Scarlatti. The central focus of the album being that of women in Italian eighteenth-century music and art, these works include Vivaldi's Cessate, omai cessate; Scarlatti's Bella dama di nome Santa and Infirmata vulnerata; and the rarely recorded Salve Regina by Porpora.
