Under Wires and Searchlights the debut album from Marconi Union, originally released in 2003 in a limited number of unmastered copies and their 2005 album Distance whose cinematic textures brought them to the attention of larger audiences and international critical acclaim ('One of the most successful ambient albums of recent years.' are now to be released, re-mastered by Guy Davie, one
of the UK's leading mastering engineers and renowned internationally for
his consistently brilliant work on a wide range of successful projects,
including both A Lost Connection and Beautifully Falling Apart at the end of January 2012.
Marconi Union's music straddles the world's of artistic credibility and
musical accessibility and has been selected to accompany art
installations, independent arts based projects, theatre and ballet, and
to serve as the beautiful musical backdrop to television commercials,
drama and documentary films worldwide. They continually refine and
develop a unique musical identity, that seamlessly blends elements of
dub, jazz, ambience and electronic music.
