This album was recorded in one or two days - there is some disagreement in the band members' memories - and released in the U.S.A. in September of 2006.
Ten songs showcased their stylistic range, veering from the pounding attacks of "No Sign of Life" and "I Am A Believer," the droning "Blue Eyes Coming" and "So Soon" to the quiet "Ballad of a Bitter End" and the tender "Can You Come For Me".
The overall sound was propelled by Polwart's strong deadpan vocals, Hodgens's droning or shrieking Fenders, Paterson's often R&B or country-influenced guitar, and Barry's hypnotically simple but steady, propulsive beat.
