'More Hispano comprises some of the most talented Spanish musicians of their generation. [...] Yr a oydo is one of the most exceptional and powerful contributions that any Spanish ensemble has made to the discography of Ancient Music.'
Scherzo Magazine
Yr a oydo is an old Spanish expression meaning ‘going by heart' and is the name of More Hispano's latest innovative project lead by the recorder player Vicente Parrilla. The young Spanish Ensemble presents Early Music from early 17th century Spain and Italy which, while being completely improvised, shows a great love for the skills of historic performance - a goal which is as ambitious as it is unique.
Among the musicians are Fahmi Alquai who plays viola da gamba and the soprano Raquel Andueza who also performs with L 'Arpeggiata under Christina Pluhar.
