Perfect Houseplants - New Folk Songs - The Observer

Once you've heard Perfect Houseplants a few times you can always recognise them. It's not that they always sound the same, because the four of them can command a vast range of tones and textures, but a kind of sweet melancholy keeps breaking through which is all their own. This time they are joined by recorder player Pamela Thorby, whose piping adds to this effect.
