Girl Talk - The Singer

Although of course the diva is not dead, as is supremely demonstrated by living legends Claire Martin, Barb Jungr and Mari Wilson in their highly successful cabaret show Girl Talk which has now been captured for posterity on CD -thank heaven! seen live, this collection of highly un-pc pop-songs of love, loss and washing-up glove glamour is simply hilarious - sorry, I mean...a deeply searing indictment of the dynamic of male-female politics...er right.... whatever...anyway, nothing of its punch has been lost in this wonderfully produced album.

The comic timing of tracks such as Barb Jungr's 'Terry' are nicely balanced by the poignancy of Claire Martin's interpretation of 'Different for Girls' and the clarity of Mari Wilson's distinctive vocal on 'Keep Me Hanging On'. Throughout, their tight harmonies are a joy to the ear.

You cannot afford to ignore this CD.
