Zwar sind es „nur“ Gelegenheits-kompositionen, aber dennoch sind die Bläser-Divertimenti von Wolf- gang Amadeus Mozart mit das Schönste, was er jemals geschrieben hat. In ihnen verknüpft er erstklas- sige Unterhaltung, für die Zuhörer, mit faszinierender musikalischer Substanz; die Bläser, für die diese Werke einst entstanden sind, müssen ihre Instrumente virtuos beherrscht haben.

Das lässt sich auch von den Scottish Chamber Orchestra Wind Soloists sagen, die Mozarts Divertimenti KV 253, 270, 252/240a und 240 sowie die Serenade KV 375 nun kunstfertig eingespielt haben. Maximiliano Martín und William Stafford, Klarinette, Alec Frank-Gemmill und Harry Johnstone, Horn, sowie Peter Whelan und Alison Green, Fagott, musizieren schwungvoll, lebendig und phantastisch aufeinander abgestimmt. Die Super Audio CD, die bei dem schottischen Hifi-Label Linn erschienen ist, begeistert zudem mit einem wunderbar transparenten Klang. Unbedingt anhören!
