Thomas Sondergard - Sibelius: Symphonies 1 & 6 - BBC Radio 3 'Record Review'

03 June 2017
BBC Radio 3 'Record Review'

Søndergård understands the unvarnished elemental side of Sibelius the symphonist…Coaxing just the right kind of soundscape from the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Clarity and intimacy that understands the folk-like simplicity from which so much of the music springs…this is a Sibelian with a keen ear for texture and balance.
