De conserve avec les musiciens de l’Orchestre de chambre d’Ecosse dont il est le directeur musical depuis 2008, Robin Ticciati relie la haute virtuosité orchestrale de Brahms à celle de ses prédécesseurs, tels Haydn et Mozart. Un souci d’allègement et de transparence des textures préside à cette lecture qui s’inscrit ainsi dans la continuité des précédents enregistrements du chef, notamment les cycles Berlioz et Schumann.
