Fife Herald/Kinross Advertiser/St. Andrew Citizen
Guitarra Celtica (AKD 106), is the type of album that sounds like a solo guitar session yet on subsequent hearing several instruments accompany the acoustic guitar of Andrew White. The oboe, violin, flugal horn, keyboards, pipes and percussion are all there complementing the main instrument but subtle enough not to overwhelm. Andrew is now based in Scotland and has backed The Corrs and Clannad among others. His Northumbrian roots are reflected in Lindisfarne Lullaby, Geordies Return and Northumbria Road, all well constructed and memorable.
Now an 'in demand' artist due to his Celtic Connections appearance these sixteen tracks are released ahead of a vocal album due out soon.
