Andrew White - Guitarra Celtica - The Hamilton Advertiser

Another guitarist with a new CD out is Andrew White, whose Guitarra Celtica has just been released on the Linn label (AKD 106).
His music is difficult to categorise but he's been likened to folk guitar greats Bert Jansch and John Renbourne, which is high praise indeed. The music is akin to New Age style, but don't let that put you off. There's a lot of fine playing on this disc and the production is first-rate.
White also sings - and sings well - on the track "Tears of Silver", and his next project for Linn will be an album of songs.
