Emily Barker & The Red Clay Halo - Dear River - Hi-Fi Choice

14 June 2013
Hi-Fi Choice

Originally from Western Australia but now based in the UK, Barker's voice may already by familiar from the BBC's Wallander TV series. Her fourth album, produced by the Blue Nile's Calum Malcolm, is an Americana-themed hymn of strummed guitars, violin and vocal harmonies held together by a delicately balanced acoustic ambience. it's a warm, welcoming sound that entices your ears with a surfeit of gorgeous tunes.
