Ensemble Meridiana - Tastes of Europe - Droitwich Spa Advertiser

Georg Philipp Telemann was one of the 18th century's most prolific musical talents, and this popular Baroque composer's open-minded approach to his art enabled him to draw on influences from France and Italy as well as his German homeland. Telemann enjoyed his greatest success within the chamber music genre, and some of his finest creations have been revived here by the similarly eclectic Ensemble Meridiana, utilising a mixture of copies and original Baroque instruments. The four "Trios" are particularly impressive, providing the highlights of this sparkling Linn recital.
