Barb Jungr - Waterloo Sunset - HiFi News

05 April 2004
HiFi News

Looks like Linn has its answer to Christy Baron, a suitably wispy jazz vocalist edgy enough to endure comparisons to past greats because she's brave enough not to cover the obvious. If you can get past the bizarre, self-penned opener - Jungr'sa a better singer than composer - you're in for a treat: left-field takes of two Dylan songs, the Everly's ‘Cathy's Clown' and a mournful version of the Ray Davies title track. Delicious.
