Barb Jungr - Waterloo Sunset - O's Place jazz Newsletter

Barb wanted the mood for this CD to be hidden emotions. That quickly led to a wealth of songs with clowns and jesters and the like. So we find a collection of 12 classics sung with great emotion featuring Jungr. "This Masquerade" and the bouncy "Cathy's Clown" are a couple of highlights. Barb's voice is as pleasing as a pop singer but with a lot more substance. The band is exceptional adding to the enjoyment. And the music sounds full, warm and there courtesy of a great SACD.
