Magnificat - The Tudors At Prayer - BBC Radio 3 'CD Review'

17 May 2014
BBC Radio 3 'CD Review'
Andrew McGregor

You heard the vocal ensemble Magnificat really relishing those suspensions and false relations, all of those delicious chromatic harmonies. And they give a fine account of Mundy's most famous setting from the song of songs, Vox Patris Caelestis, and guide us through this well-chosen selection of mid-sixteenth Century English music with commendable security of intonation and beauty of tone, matched by the recording.
