Handel's Acis & Galatea - Dunedin Consort - Philadelphia Inquirer

23 August 2009
Philadelphia Inquirer
David Patrick Stearns

Often, it seems there are as many Handel sound envelopes as there are pieces. In Acis and Galatea by the Dunedin Consort (Linn), the chorus is a quintet of soloists with every singer behaving with wonderfully individual elegance, style, and expressive responsibility. If there's a state-of-the-art Handel recording, it's this.
