Judith Owen - Happy This Way - Audio and Video Lifestyle (Australia)

This exciting new vocalist is bound to blow your socks off. The refinement and soaring capabilities of Judith Owen's vocals are well worth a special consideration.

The album is like a breath of fresh air with all 12 tracks written by the lady herself. Judith clearly crafts her vocals around the music with a unique blend of precision which in itself makes for great entertainment. It's my opinion that after listening to this disc, Judith Owen has the ability to become Linn Records' premier artist. She really is that good!

The music styles are light and cheerful with an air of class throughout the album. An album which has no short cuts is alive with bells and whistles galore. I love her album and you are likely to as well.

The instrumental sections are well catered for with an excellent array of instruments including piano, double and electric bass, electric guitars, drums and percussion. Match these with some beautiful melodies, clever vocals and fantastic instrumentation and you have an absolute winner.

It is difficult for me to determine which are the best tracks on the album because they are all so very good, but most certainly the first track Conway Bay, the following Painting by Numbers, and track 6 Carry are certainly stand-out tracks. The final track Enough comes around all too soon, and for me I can't get enough of this Judith Owen album. This is one album you should not miss. It's a real gem!
