For some time now, Willard White has been touring a tribute to Paul Robeson. Utilising his imposing voice, his charisma and presence to great effect, and working with an excellent group of musicians, the performances have been highly acclaimed. Now, at last, the decent thing has been done and White has recorded many of the songs closely associated with Robeson, including Mood Indigo, Witness and Lazy Bones, and put them onto disc. A deeply satisfying experience.
