Maeve O'Boyle to sing for the Pope!
Maeve O'Boyle will play the biggest gig of her life next month at the Mass held by Benedict XVI at Glasgow's Bellahouston Park. The singer-songwriter will perform tracks from her album, ‘All My Sins', to the 100,000 worshippers who are expected to attend the landmark event on the 16th September.
Maeve stated: "I'm still trying to get my head round it all. It's an honour to be asked and it's a personal milestone in my career". Maeve will be joined by Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle and The Hour's presenter Michelle McManus.
Maeve released 'All My Sins', her debut album, in June 2009 to great acclaim. The Music Critic, in addition to naming it Album of Month, hailed it "...the best album of the year so far". In February 2010 BBC Radio Scotland's Tom Morton named 'All My Sins' his Album of the Week, saying "I think it sounds amazing".
