    At the age of twenty-seven, Austrian pianist Aaron Pilsan has already made a name for himself on the international music scene, having received numerous awards and performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls including New York's Carnegie Hall, London's Wigmore Hall and Vienna's Konzerthaus. Chosen by the influential German magazine Fono Forum as 'Best Young Artist of the Year' in 2011, he was then named a 'Rising Star' by the European Concert Hall Organization (ECHO) in 2014, enabling him to perform in some of the most renowned concert halls in Europe.

    Aaron Pilsan often performs with cellist Kian Soltani, with whom he has made recordings for Deutsche Grammophon. In order to support young artists, he founded the Pilsan Academy, through which he mentors future professionals and amateur pianists. Aaron Pilsan studied with, among others, Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and Lars Vogt in Hanover and has regularly received advice from Sir András Schiff, Maria João Pires and Daniel Barenboim.

    Recently, his recording for Alpha Classics of the first book of Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier was chosen by Gramophone Magazine as one of the best recordings of 2021.
