    Florian Sempey’s impassioned and jubilant incarnation of Figaro in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia launched his international career, with unanimously acclaimed performances of the role in the Opéra de Paris, Covent Garden, Rome, Pesaro, Tokyo, Bordeaux, Marseille, Saint-Étienne, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Grand Théâtre du Luxembourg, and the Chorégies d’Orange. He has returned regularly to the Opéra de Paris in Die Zauberflöte, La Cenerentola, Don Pasquale, Faust, Les Huguenots, and Les Indes Galantes; he has also performed the roles of Belcore, Marcello, Enrico, Almaviva (Nozze Di Figaro), Hamlet, Valentin, Alfonso Xi and Cecil in London, Madrid, Berlin, Cologne, Amsterdam, Bergamo, Drottningholm and elsewhere.

    His concert work includes performances with the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Wiener Symphoniker, the NDR Sinfonieorchester, the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, the Orchestre National de Lille, the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Paris, the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine and the Musiciens du Louvre, amongst others.
