Giulio Prandi is an Italian conductor who specializes in the vocal and sacred repertoire of the eighteenth century.

    He is the artistic and musical director of Ghislierimusica at the Collegio Ghislieri of Pavia. He founded and conducts Ghislieri Choir & Consort, with whom he performed at many international concert venues and made numerous recordings. Prandi graduated in orchestral conducting under the guidance of Donato Renzeti and holds a dipin singing, as well as a mathematics degree from the University of Pavia. He studied composition with Bruno Zanolini and choral conducting with Domenico Zingaro at the Conservatory of Milan. His passion for the Italian sacred repertoire of the eighteenth century has driven him to undertake constant research which, over the years, has led to the rediscovery of numerous rare or unpublished works by authors such as Galuppi, Jommelli, Perez, Perti, Durante, Astorga and Leo. Prandi also continuously works on the sacred compositions of Vivaldi, Pergolesi, Händel, Michael Haydn and Mozart. In the field of contemporary music, he has worked with the Italian composer Fabio Vacchi. © Matteo Belli Giulio Prandi regularly holds masterclasses and workshops on the Italian sacred repertoire of the eighteenth century and was invited to join the juries of some important international competitions, such as Händel in Götingen, Van Wassenaer in Utrecht and Early Music International Young Artists Competition in York. Prandi is constantly involved in the popularisation of early music in his area, particularly by following the activities of the University Choir of Collegio Ghislieri. Since 2017, he has taught choral singing at the Conservatorio F. Vitadini in Pavia. In 2017/2018, he furthermore held a workshop on the Italian sacred vocal repertoire of the eighteenth century at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milan.
