Barb Jungr Makes New York Return

Barb Jungr 's Stateside success of the last three years continues with a three week residency at the prestigious Cafe Carlyle in New York.

In a show entitled "The Men I Love", Jungr promises to reach beyond our common assumptions about the male species to appreciate the surprises of men and manhood while marveling at the astonishing topographic variety of what she calls "the male terrain."

The composers and songwriters she's drawing her inspiration from are diverse. She and her New York music director Charlie Giordano are constructing a show with songs by Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Iggy Pop, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon and Harry Nilsson.

This is Jungr's fifth New York engagement since debuting at the Metropolitan Room in January 2007 and it's here that she has emerged as "one of the town's most original and forceful singer-entertainers" according to www.broadwayworld.com.

Folowing a major feature in the New York Times and a Time Out New York award for Best Cabaret, it will be a welcome return for an artist who is increasingly being acknowledged for her ability interpret songs in a fresh, new way.
