Best Sound Recording Award From Radio Classique

Robin Ticciati's recording of Debussy's Nocturnes and Duruflé's Requiem, with DSO Berlin, Rundfunkchor Berlin and Magdalena Kožená, has been awarded a Trophée by Radio Classique for Best Sound Recording of the Year. Linn's Chief Producer Philip Hobbs was in Paris to collect the prestigious award.

Philip commented, "This is a great honour for me and everyone at Linn and Outhere. Of course recording is a team effort and I must immediately thank and congratulate my two equal partners in this production, Florian Schmidt and Julia Thomas. I would also like to congratulate Radio Classique for including this category amongst its new Trophées. These days there seems to be so much focus on how to make productions quicker, or less expensive, so it is wonderful to have a new award to inspire us all simply to make things better. Of course the greatest inspiration is the music and the musicians. Debussy and Duruflé are of course sublime, but I must pay tribute to the wonderful Madgalena Kožená, the fantastic Deutsche Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Rundfunkchor Berlin and of course my dear friend and the most amazingly inspiring musician, Robin Ticciati."

Congratulations to all involved in this wonderful recording.
