The 'Dream Team' Is Back

The follow up to Francesco Piemontesi's release of Mozart Piano Concertos Nos 25 & 26 is being recorded in Edinburgh's Usher Hall this weekend.

This is the follow up to Francesco Piemontesi’s summer 2017 release of Mozart Piano Concertos Nos. 25 & 26. This recording finds the ‘dream team’ of Piemontesi, Andrew Manze and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra back together for two further concertos, this time Piano Concerto No. 19 in F Major and Piano Concerto No. 27 in B-flat Major.

Piemontesi performed No. 27 at the 2018 BBC Proms, The Independent commented: "Piemontesi gave a definitive performance…this late work is often described as ‘intimate’, but there was little of that quality in this big, resonant account. He brought generous warmth and spaciousness to the opening movement, and lovely poise to the slow Larghetto; his sound was gloriously transparent throughout."

The recording is going to be released in 2020.
