Barb Jungr - Shelter From The Storm - Choice

Barb Jungr has already prove hersel to be an imaginative interpreter of other writer's work, and in the past she has earned plaudits for her arrangements of songs by artists as diverse as Scott Walker and Bob Dylan. Like all great vocalists Barb has that uncanny ability to burrow to the heart of a song and make it her own. For this new album, which finds her being joined by jazz piano virtuoso Laurence Hobgood, Barb tackles songs by Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Peter Gabriel and Bruce Springsteen, in her own inimiatable style, as well as three songs written by Barb and Laurence.
