In 2001, at the age of 19, Robin Ticciati burst onto the musical scene. Now principal conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, his first recording with them suggests he is the right man for the job. He draws superlative playing, notably in a thrilling first movement; the ball is as glittering as the pastoral movement is serene.
