Brahms - Lesley Schatzberger and the Fitzwilliams - Mid-Sussex Citizen

Soloist Lesley Schatzberger joins forces with the highly regarded Fitzwilliam String Quartet for these performances of works by an interesting array of composers. Brahms' "Clarinet Quintet in B minor" has been the subject of many recordings over the years, but this new interpretation finds Schatzberger striving to emulate the much more fiery and confrontational approach to the piece which would have been heard during the composer's own lifetime.
