Catriona Morison - The dark night has vanished - The Sunday Times

The Scottish-German Cardiff winner in 2017 presents her first lieder recital on disc, six songs each by Grieg, Brahms and Lang, seven by Schumann. It’s a lovely voice, limpid, delicate, instinctively musical, but Morison’s persona seems restrained, languid even, in the better-known songs. Lang, a disciple of Mendelssohn who knew her Schubert and Schumann, is a more than worthwhile discovery on this evidence.
