David Paul Jones - Something There - Sunday Mail

A classical gig in the vaults of Scotland's dance mecca might sound an odd prospect, but The Arches proved a perfect setting for the premiere of David Paul Jones' delightful new work, Something There.

Jones and his seven-piece DPJ Ensemble produce an ethereal sound that would grace any film soundtrack. His piano chords washed over the audience in waves, accompanied by a rich tapestry of percussion and strings.

Backed by the beautiful tones of soprano Carolyn Murray-Hamilton, the music has real human quality.
